In December, 2004 Female Medical Officer was initiated in Rahim Yar Khan. Under this programme an FMO is assigned five Basic Health Unit. She spends one day at one BHU and treats the women and children. She goes to the Girls School / Colleges for School health Session on every Friday. At present three to five FMO have been engaged in District Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, Chakwal, Vehari, Lahore and Sahiwal.
